San Francisco Film Society
Sara Dosa heads up the grants and residencies programs for the San Francisco Film Society, working with the SFFS Filmmaker Services Department to provide resources, consultation and support to Bay Area filmmakers and beyond. Dosa has years of experience in independent film, working as a writer, producer, editor, photographer and consultant; and, most recently a director on her forthcoming short, Saudade Blue. Also a journalist, she writes for SF360.org, CineSource Magazine, and other film publications, focusing on the intersection between media arts, technology and social change. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Wesleyan University and a joint Masters in Anthropology and International Development Studies from the London School of Economics.
