In the three years since Carol Bui released her second record Everyone Wore White, the Tacoma, Washington resident developed two very intense hobbies: drums and Middle Eastern dance. Both of these new pursuits play a role on Bui’s upcoming third record Red Ship available 3/8/11 on Bui’s own Ex Oh Records. Led by the single “Mira: You’re Free With Me” to be released on November 16th, the material on Red Ship is a festive, fiery blend of celebratory Middle Eastern and North African percussion coupled with progressive pop melodic tendencies.
The single brims with the musicality that caused Pitchfork to call Bui’s previous album “...a punk-bred record where the guitar is loud but the tunes prevail” and My Old Kentucky Blog to proclaim it the completion of the rock trifecta that also includes Liz Phair’s Exile In Guyille and PJ Harvey’s Rid of Me. Bui sings, plays drums, guitar, an out-of-tune doumbek, and cabasa on the track. Her longtime collaborator, TJ Lipple of Aloha plays bass and Jason Merriman claps his hands zealously.

Nederland Colorado neo-acoustic quintet Elephant Revival plays a unique blend of an emerging new musical genre called Transcendental Folk. The quintet can be seen delving into Scottish/Celtic fiddle tunes, original folk pieces, traditional ballads, psychedelic country, indie rock, powerful reggae grooves, 40s/50s jazz standards and an occasional hip-hop beat amongst other styles. The band consists of Bonnie Paine (vocals, washboard, djembe, musical saw), Sage Cook (electric banjo/guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, viola, vocals), Dango Rose (double-bass, mandolin, banjo, vocals), Daniel Rodriguez (acoustic guitar, electric banjo/guitar vocals) and Bridget Law (fiddle and vocals).

Shuttle found a home for his original sounds amongst the underground Boston musical scene. His unique live shows are now all but infamous within the tightly knit Basstown crew. Their all night parties fuel Boston’s underground music culture. Shuttle’s music moved beyond the basements and clubs of the Boston scene and receives spins on Britain’s tastemaker Radio 1, Kiss FM, XFM and many others.
The Basstown crew are not the only notables for which Shuttle has shared a stage, recent luminaries include: Devlin (Spank Rock), Yelle, Crystal Castles, Diplo, and Classixx. His remix credits are equally as credible and diverse including commissioned remixes of Daedalus, The Little Ones and rockers The Death Set.
While still at school Shuttle honed his production skills devouring anything remotely considered listenable. Armed just with his laptop, he began making remixes of his favorite sounds of the day. These bedroom remixes caught the attention of the influential and tastemakers label, Ninja Tune. His highly anticipated debut release will feature Cadence Weapon and a remix by fellow up and comer High Rankin courtesy of Ninja Tune worldwide at the top of 2009.

We at Music Fog put the four day schedule together, and our video cameras will be rolling as we gather content for www.musicfog.com. Most times we do our thing behind closed doors, but this gig, we invite you to come and hang in the room for our taping. The Music Fog Motto, after all, is "How Hard Could It Be&.." and the answer, at least when we come to Threadgills is, "Pretty Damn Easy!" What with onsite parking, air conditioning, any drink of any color that you might want, Southern home-style fare with loads of vegetables, and the ever important indoor plumbing with those fancy new 'no hands towel machines. I don't know, they just intrigue me! And really, why would you even think of going anywhere else?

It is Year 4, as once again Music Fog takes the stage in the Saloon Room at Threadgill's WHQ(AKA&. the back room, on the stage against the ruby velvet curtains,) 301 W. Riverside, in South Austin TX. It is an unofficial showcase so no badges or wristbands are necessary, just a desire to eat some good ole homemade food, and see some cooking music. We at Music Fog put the four day schedule together, and our video cameras will be rolling as we gather content for www.musicfog.com. Most times we do our thing behind closed doors, but this gig, we invite you to come and hang in the room for our taping. The Music Fog Motto, after all, is "How Hard Could It Be&.." and the answer, at least when we come to Threadgills is, "Pretty Damn Easy!" What with onsite parking, air conditioning, any drink of any color that you might want, Southern home-style fare with loads of vegetables, and the ever important indoor plumbing with those fancy new 'no hands towel machines. I don't know, they just intrigue me! And really, why would you even think of going anywhere else?

It is Year 4, as once again Music Fog takes the stage in the Saloon Room at Threadgill's WHQ(AKA&. the back room, on the stage against the ruby velvet curtains,) 301 W. Riverside, in South Austin TX. It is an unofficial showcase so no badges or wristbands are necessary, just a desire to eat some good ole homemade food, and see some cooking music. We at Music Fog put the four day schedule together, and our video cameras will be rolling as we gather content for www.musicfog.com. Most times we do our thing behind closed doors, but this gig, we invite you to come and hang in the room for our taping. The Music Fog Motto, after all, is "How Hard Could It Be&.." and the answer, at least when we come to Threadgills is, "Pretty Damn Easy!" What with onsite parking, air conditioning, any drink of any color that you might want, Southern home-style fare with loads of vegetables, and the ever important indoor plumbing with those fancy new 'no hands towel machines. I don't know, they just intrigue me! And really, why would you even think of going anywhere else?
