Account Mgr for Participant Media
Carolyn Sams serves as the Account Manager for all of Participant’s online film campaigns, working in close collaboration with the company’s Social Action and Marketing teams. Additionally, she oversees production of short videos for both Participant and TakePart. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 2005, Carolyn started her career with a handful of friends who created the nonprofit Invisible Children, a ground-breaking organization seeking to end the conflict in northern Uganda by inspiring youth worldwide through compelling documentaries and sustainable campaigns. For three years, she served as the Director of Communications, overseeing all marketing, political advocacy and public relations. She was a part of the Webby-award-winning team behind the website Displace Me, an international advocacy event. With a creative background and a taste for innovation, Carolyn hopes to bring a bit of style to the way people see and help the world. Because of this, she was recently mentored by marketing guru Seth Godin in his NanoMBA program. She grew up in Los Angeles and has a hyper dog named Robot.
